In 1857 he was an engineer setting up new papermaking machinery in the La Constancia Paper Mill in Tapalpa, Jalisco, Mexico. In 1867 he was an agent for R. H. Allen & Co., agricultural implement makers of New York, U.S.A. in Colima, Mexico. He lived in Santiago Ixcuintla, Canton de Tepic, Mexico in January 1878.
